		<description><![CDATA[yes! yes and yes! i think for me, even when the idea of collective liberation is there, the whole how to get there part gets muddled into utopian ways of looking at how the world works or lifestyle activism. for example, &quot;if we can bring dhamma to corporations, the president, politicians, [insert person of power] then we will be on our way to a fundamentally new world.&quot; so even though there is an understanding that institutions and even systems, like capitalism, are in a very real sense creating our conditions of material and mental suffering, the concentration is still on the individual. coming up with deeper strategies that would liberate the very system that limits the ability of the masses to uproot our [individual and collective] oppression is many times missing.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[it&#039;s really inspiring to read a structural analysis of the suffering that exists in the world and concrete strategies on how to alleviate it all the while being grounded in buddhism. sometimes, it&#039;s frustrating and alienating for me when reading or discussing engaged buddhism with fellow practitioners and the only form of liberation one has strategy for is the individual. it&#039;s refreshing to have the vision of collective liberation and ways in which that is even a possibility a part of the conversation.
